"Areas of Frost Overnight, A Quiet Start to the Week.
The overnight will be quiet and chilly with areas of frost developing as temperatures bottom out in the 30s and 40s. Despite the chilly start to our Monday and increasing clouds from the northwest, we should manage to warm near seasonable levels Monday afternoon with highs ranging from 60 to 65 degrees.
Mainly dry weather and cool conditions are expected to prevail through about Thursday with daytime highs in the low and mid 60s. It won't be until the end of the week that more notable shower activity returns to the forecast (courtesy of a cold front), followed by chillier temperatures for next weekend."

CONGRATULATIONS TO BRIAN STARING!
Now that's a pumpkin! — and it's the largest one that Brian has ever grown.
Now that's a pumpkin! — and it's the largest one that Brian has ever grown.
Brian, shown here at the Oswego Pumpkin Festival with his winning squash.
Weighing in at 1,375.5 lbs., it is not only the largest squash that he has ever grown, but is, in fact,
the largest Squash that has ever been grown anywhere by anyone in Central New York!
I asked Brian what he credited for such success — the weather or his technique — and he said:
"First you have to have Atlantic Giant Pumpkin seeds, and what they call Big Squash seeds. A lot of hard work, getting your soil perfect with a soil test. Lots of Foliar spraying the leaves, feeding them most organic products."
Now . . . about those pies!

Coming Soon to the Library .....
The "Flying Librarian" was recently seen "piloting" a shiny Kubota on the side lawn of the Library. I don't know what he's creating, but I'm sure that he has something in mind!
