It's Garbage Day.
44 degrees with mostly-blue sky at 8:30 a.m.

Very early this morning I saw a nice news clip on WKTV about yesterday's Fire Prevention & Fire Safety Activities that took place at Memorial Park School and which were sponsored by the Waterville Fire Department.

UNFORTUNATELY, I cannot find a link to the video
nor have Emails and phone calls to WKTV had any results.
IF / WHEN I do find a link I'll be sure and post it right away.
If any of you find it, please let me know!
I do know that project coordinator, Matt Jurczak, has
"a camera full" of pictures.  All we need to do is work out some electronic magic and the photos will appear here, too.

Here, members of the WFD and WAVAC set up outdoor props in front of the school on Wednesday afternoon.

Elsewhere ...

One of the most sightly batches of real Autumn Foliage is this long row of ancient maples next to Green Road.

I don't remember where I took this picture. Perhaps Craigfoot Hill?

While you're touring scenic spots, his weekend,  slow down and admire the new Pumilia building on Route 315. (By Thursday afternoon, I'm told, the roof was complete and siding was being applied to the front wall.)

Keep watching for changes at the former "Good Times Bar & Grill" on West Main Street because there is good news, and although the rumor that it will be a "Raspberries" restaurant may not be true, I believe that local grapevine predictions of "breakfast" and "lunch" will prove accurate!

I have a new camera!

This was the first picture that I took with it - a macro shot (click!) of blossoms on a "lipstick vine" - and I can't wait to head out to the hills to see what photographs it will produce of our beautiful countryside!
