It's 53.2 degrees at 6:15 Wednesday morning.

The morning Weather Forecast from TWCNY:

"Breezy & Cool, Chilly By the Weekend.

Today will be breezy and cooler with highs in the low and mid 50s. Lingering moisture and a upper-level low will result in a few scattered showers for the midweek period.
It remains cool and unsettled for the rest of the week with highs near 60 on Thursday and in the 50s on Friday. Chilly air arrives for the weekend with highs only in the 40s for both Saturday and Sunday.
Temperatures should improve as we head into next week."

I was out and around for just a little while yesterday afternoon before clouds and showers moved in and took these few pictures — first on East Main Street   ......

............. where painters were at work on "260 Structural Engineering" ..........

................ where the new colors have brought out details in the original woodwork.  The first two floors of the building were constructed in the 1830s and the third floor added about forty years later.

Out in the Country

Next to the flat section of California Road, the leaves on a clump of Staghorn Sumac were bright red just beyond a wet patch of fully-tasseled Phragmites.

In front of the Lumbard homestead on Lumbard Road.

Oh, yes: there are still plenty of pumpkins at the Moshers'!
