New Mid-morning Sports add-on!

23.5 degrees at 5:30 a.m.
with just an inch or so of new snow.
Total accumulation over the past two days
- probably 12" to 14".

The TWCNY Weather Forecast:

"Quiet and Chilly, More Snow and Cold Ahead.

Today will be a much quieter day with breaks of sun possible. Highs will be in the 20s. Light winds and pretty uneventful.

We'll continue to deal with rather tranquil weather through Wednesday afternoon and then Wednesday night, our next system looks to arrive.

This will allow for scattered snow showers to develop and persist right into Thursday. During this time period, temperatures should be tolerable (especially compared to what we have coming up) with highs in the upper 20s and low 30s. However, a brutally cold/arctic air mass will push in for the end of the week and temperatures are only expected to top out in the single digits Friday."

It seems that many people are suffering from "snow fatigue," and this cartoon - a take-off on the classic Grant Wood painting, "American Gothic"  - has been making the rounds:
