To blog reader friends in the United Kingdom ...

It's Sunny and 48 degrees at 8:00 a.m.Sunday morning.

The morning Weather Forecast from TWCNY:

"Bright and Pleasant!  Warm Weather Continues.

A great finish to the weekend with sun and warm conditions. Highs in the 70s and staying above average.
Expect quiet conditions for most of our Monday, but a few showers/storms look to return to the forecast later in the day as a cold front approaches.  Out ahead of this front, we'll get a push of even warmer air with temperatures likely sneaking into the low 80s compliments of a southwest flow!
Tuesday is shaping up to be more unsettled with a few scattered showers, and after seeing highs briefly dip down into the 60s on Tuesday, temperatures should manage climb closer to 70 degrees by midweek with some more sun returning."

SATURDAY, MAY 9
From Mary Beth Plourde

"The Waterville Area food pantry would like to thank our generous community for their continued support.  The annual United States Postal Carriers food drive is approaching and will be held on Saturday May 9th.  We use our donated funds and grant monies to purchase products through The Food Bank of Central New York. Many items we stock are unavailable for purchase through the food bank or are not cost effective. We have comprised a wish list of items we are unable to obtain through the Food Bank of Central New York.

While all monetary donations and food donations are gratefully accepted; Coffee, tea, personal hygiene items, tissues, chap stick, jello/pudding, laundry detergent and juices are items that are on our list. Please consider these items as you shop for and support the food pantry.

The pantry is open Monday's from 3:00-4:30 with the exception of Holidays and the second Monday of the month.
If you have any questions please contact Mary Beth Plourde at 725-8790."
