Some changes are on the way today with a shower or storm possible, the day won't be a washout and many areas should stay dry. The big story continues to be the heat and humidity with afternoon highs in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees.
We'll see a few showers and storms develop out ahead of a cold front on Wednesday but it will still be very warm as temperatures manage to top out in the upper 80s.
Scattered showers and storms will carry us through Wednesday night and Thursday before some late day clearing is able to take place. Behind the cold front itself, a more seasonable air mass is expected to settle in with highs easing into the middle and upper 70s to finish off the week."

...... and the first of the Autumn displays of cornstalks, "mums," pumpkins and gourds has appeared at Alcott's Greenhouses, on Route 20.
