Saturday "snaps"

The weather was just fine until around 3:00, and then a small shower moved through.

This was the only vacant parking spot that I saw - westbound on Madison Street beyond Terry Place. I could have taken the Clinton Tractor "jitney" from one of the school parking lots, but I opted to just ride around taking all the pictures that I could in fifteen or twenty minutes.

Here are the shots (in no particular order) that weren't completely blurry or otherwise useless.

Great Thanks to Doris Stephan, who was working at the Waterville Historical Society's Food Stand at the Antique & Classic car show, for this picture .....

................ and to Sarah Burbules Sexton for this picture of the judges at Morgan's First Annual Homemade Pickle Contest!

I understand that there were twenty-nine entries, so their job was not an easy one.
Hopefully, the name of the Winner will be announced soon - probably in this week's edition of The Waterville Times!

COMING EVENTS

The Weather Forecast from TWCNY:

"Fall Feel in the Air, Another Quiet Week Ahead.

Today will begin with quite a few clouds, but come the late morning and afternoon high pressure will build in with dry air and produce increasing sun for all!  Highs will only make the mid and upper 60s for most with a cool breeze.  It should be a great day to head out and do some hiking, apple picking or even yard work.

After a chilly night/early Monday, once again strong high pressure building will keep us dry and very nice for most, if not all, of the upcoming week!  Temperatures will gradually warm each and every day next week till maybe Friday when a backdoor cold front attempts to sneak through.

Highs will be close to 70 Monday, and should make the low to mid 70s Tuesday, and possibly the mid to upper 70s Wednesday and Thursday, before we begin to cool a little Friday, and more so by next Saturday."
