NEW VIEWS
The Hallowe'en Mystery!
Jim Cieslak was the first to send me a picture of this extremely tall, rather frightful-looking creature seen walking on West Main Street with a very pretty companion who did not seem to be at all afraid of him!
The twosome had been spotted a few minutes earlier on East Main Street by Tim and Denise Tarbox.
Were these truly the first verified sightings of the legendary, never-before-photographed, always elusive creature called "Sasquatch?"

How many pumpkins does it take to create a border like this?
According to Matt Jurczak, the answer is
"215 - give or take a few!"

Here & There
Between bursts of afternoon traffic, I caught a glimpse of Gary Hudson sitting on the steps of the old hotel building giving the woodwork a new coat of paint.
Around the corner, on East Main Street, another painter used another method to paint the steeple of the Baptist Church.
Painting continues on the Waterville Historical Society, also on East Main Street, and now scraping, priming, and painting are all in progress at Bob Card's elegant "painted lady" on White Street.
Down at Pumilia's, next to Route 315, new tan siding is being applied to a section of the older building to match that of the brand new structure.
Perhaps the most exciting sight of the day was that of the new Prindle house, on Stafford Avenue.

The TWCNY Weather Forecast:
"Unseasonably Warm Again, Cooler, but Seasonable This Weekend.
Today will be partly sunny and unseasonably warm with highs in the 60s and low 70s. While most spots will remain dry on we can;t rule out a spotty sprinkle or shower cannot be ruled out.
The next chance for showers will arrive on Friday when a cold front nears and moves through. In the wake of this front, temperatures cool back to more seasonable levels for the first full weekend of November."
